Masterise Homes performed the groundbreaking ceremony for The Sun Tower on March 22. The event follows a successful year for the Marriott-branded residence project since its launch in January 2021.
This building is located at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang and Nguyen Huu Canh streets, with direct access to the Ba Son metro station of the No. 1 metro line.
The Sun Tower, according to the Masterise Homes representative, is positioned to become an iconic tower overlooking the Riverside Square.
The skyscraper, which stands next to eight Marriott and JW Marriott residence towers in Grand Marina, is 55 stories tall and five basements.

The Sun Tower has approximately 106,000m² of premium office and retail space, including 87,000m² of Class A office space. Placing it among HCMC’s largest office buildings upon completion, Masterise Homes aims to achieve LEED Gold certification for the building.
The tower has a distinctive design where new ground plates are moved to create a large terrace for networking spaces. Each of the five podiums offers an attraction for a unique and “instagrammable” retail experience.
The Sun Tower will bring together the world‘s prestigious companies and luxury retail brands, providing shopping, entertainment and dining facilities not only to office workers but also to residents of Grand Marina, Saigon.
Additionally, the interior of the building features an elegant warm palette.
“The Sun Tower will play an important role in the development of HCMC into a center of commerce and culture in Southeast Asia,” said Jason Turnbull, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Masterise Homes.

“Located in the heart of the CBD with excellent connectivity, Sun Tower is expected to be the hub for businessmen, multinationals and global corporations, and become exemplary for future Class A office and commercial space in Vietnam,” said said Turnbull.
Masterise Homes has appointed Mace as a project management partner in The Sun Tower, a global consultancy and construction company based in London, UK, including some of the world’s iconic structures including The Shard (London, UK ), Jumeirah Beach Residence (Dubai, UAE) and Landmark 81 (HCMC, Vietnam).

This commercial office building is expected to be completed in 2023.
Grand Marina, Saigon is a branded residence project in the heart of District 1, HCMC, developed by Masterise Homes, associated with two hotel brands – Marriott and JW Marriott.
The complex consists of eight residential towers, an office building called The Sun Tower, an 850m waterfront promenade, a series of well-maintained public gardens and theme parks, and the first marina in District 1.
